The Manulife Engineering Scholarship is for engineers returning to school for additional study or research in their area. Engineers within this category are eligible for one of three scholarships worth $12,500 each offered by the Manulife Scholarship program each year.

Candidates must have been admitted to or fully enrolled in an engineering faculty. Each year, candidates may only submit applications for one type of scholarship.

Nomination forms must be submitted completely, on time, and within character, word, and page constraints to be considered. Nominations submitted after the deadline or with missing information won’t be taken into account. Likewise, content that exceeds the character, word, or page limit will not be considered.

Candidates must demonstrate how the degree pursued satisfies the scholarship’s primary intention. Each nomination is evaluated by the Engineers Canada Awards Committee using the following criteria: academic achievement, impact, and benefit of your area of study, previous experience, motivation, and tenure.

The financial benefit of the scholarship is $12,500, and the deadline for applicants to fill out and submit their nomination form is March 1, 2023. Apply Here

 Hans Klinkenberg Memorial Scholarship

This engineering scholarship is meant for students studying geomatics, a field of engineering that focuses on geographic data. The Canadian Institute of Geomatics offers grants ranging from $500 to $2,000. This award might be ideal if you’re passionate about studying engineering but aren’t enrolled in a four-year university.

No university students are eligible for the Hans Klinkenberg Memorial Scholarship, specifically for students at colleges and technical schools.

De Beers Group Scholarships for Canadian Women

The De Beers Group Scholarships for Canadian Women were established to encourage the participation of women in academic pursuits in STEM and fields strongly associated with STEM at Canadian postsecondary institutions. Through the De Beers Group Scholarships for Canadian Women, there are a minimum of ten (10) prizes available. The total CAD value of each prize is $4,500. To be eligible for this scholarship,

Robert Allan Memorial Engineering Scholarship

Robert F. Allan, a renowned naval architect from Vancouver, left a legacy in 1982 that colleagues and close friends backed to establish a scholarship fund for students seeking to pursue a professional career in naval architecture or marine engineering. A group of senior principals from Robert Allan Ltd. manages the scholarship fund.

The scholar or students most deserving of the scholarship are chosen each year by the selection committee. Applications are evaluated based on their unique merits.
