Candidates must have been admitted to or fully enrolled in an engineering faculty. Each year, candidates may only submit applications for one type of scholarship.

Nomination forms must be submitted completely, on time, and within character, word, and page constraints to be considered. Nominations submitted after the deadline or with missing information won’t be taken into account. Likewise, content that exceeds the character, word, or page limit will not be considered.

Candidates must demonstrate how the degree pursued satisfies the scholarship’s primary intention. Each nomination is evaluated by the Engineers Canada Awards Committee using the following criteria: academic achievement, impact, and benefit of your area of study, previous experience, motivation, and tenure.

 Hans Klinkenberg Memorial Scholarship

This engineering scholarship is meant for students studying geomatics, a field of engineering that focuses on geographic data. The Canadian Institute of Geomatics offers grants ranging from $500 to $2,000. Robert F. Allan, a renowned naval architect from Vancouver, left a legacy in 1982 that colleagues and close friends backed to establish a scholarship fund for students seeking to pursue a professional career in naval architecture or marine engineering. A group of senior principals from Robert Allan Ltd. manages the scholarship fund.
