Airtel Nigeria, a telecommunications company, says it has enhanced its network edifice nationwide to guarantee that subscribers have the best experience on the mobile network and data.
Chief Executive Officer, Airtel Nigeria, Surendran Chemmenkotil, made this known on Tuesday in Lagos in a statement.
He said the move would enable the company’s over 50 million customers enjoy the best experience on voice call and mobile internet services.
Chemmenkotil said that as part of the exercise, Airtel had enhanced all its 2G and 3G sites to 4G to deliver communicative mobile broadband and a perfect voice call experience.
Speaking on the network expansion and upgrade exercise, he noted: “Airtel is focused on ensuring that customers continue to enjoy the best experience on the network.
“We are committed to taking mobile broadband everywhere including the remotest rural location in the country.
“Our commitment is to our customers and we are focused on ensuring that they continue to get the right and best experience on our network
“This exercise is inspired by the fact that we want to serve our customers and also contribute significantly to deepening broadband expansion in Nigeria,” he said.
Chemmenkotil said this has become peremptory as it has direct connection to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and economic productivity of the country.
He stated that Airtel would continue to champion the Federal Government agenda of increasing and expanding the penetration of broadband in the country.
